Folorunso Alakija,one of the richest Women in Africa, has said there is compelling evidence that women can be agents of economic change, even as P&G launches “#WeSeeEqual,” to advocate for gender equality.
These was the assertion of Mrs Alakija, who was the keynote speaker at the launch of the campaign dubbed, “#WeSeeEqual,” to advocate for gender equality in commemoration of the International Women’s Day, IWD, in Lagos. She said that there is evidence that women can be agents of economic change
According to her, “the world economy is now in such a way that the men cannot do it on their own, we need bold women to step it up and take their rightful place.”
“As women, we have to take the bull by the horn and make the change happen by ourselves. As women, you need to go out there and fight for what you need to get and get where you want to be.”
She went further to say also that Women need to be giving the opportunities to tap into their talents, and energy is being wasted on a daily basis.”
