Okowa Charges Dangote To Invest In Petroleum Industry

The Governor of Delta State  Ifeanyi Okowa , has charged the president of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, to invest in petro-chemical industry, by making use of the huge deposit of gas in the state.

Okowa, who gave the charge in Asaba during the commissioning of Chinedu & Sons Ultra Modern Office Complex and Dangote Cement Warehouse, said that investment like that would go a long way in creating  jobs for the youths which, according to him, will usher in enduring peace in the state.

Commissioning the complex which attracted dignitaries from across the country, including Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the governor said: “Dangote is somebody you cannot wish away, especially for those of us who believe that the way out of the crisis in the country in the area of unemployment, is to ensure that we generate jobs for the youths. I thank God that he has made a commitment to us here.”

Chairman of Chinedu & Sons Nigeria Limited, Mr. Chinedu Ezenyili, in a chat with newsmen, after the event, said that the complex was capable of generating 200 direct jobs.

Ezenyili said that he was working very closely with Dangote to bring down the price of cement.
