Edo APC Chair promise on delivery of democracy dividends

BENIN — CHAIRMAN of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, Mr. Anslem Ojezua, has charged politicians elected on the the party’s platform in the state, to ensure they provide the dividends of democracy to the people so that the party can continue to win elections.

Ojezua, who urged the newly elected House of Representatives member for Etsako federal constituency of the state, Mr John Oghuma, to emulate his predecessor and now deputy governor of the state, Mr Philip Shaibu, in the execution of constituency projects, said that the secret of the success of the party in the state was the developmental projects of the immediate past governor of the state, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, stressing the need for the party to continue.

Speaking to Vanguard, Ojezua said: “It will be difficult for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to win Edo State again because the APC government, through the immediate past governor of the state, Oshiomhole did us proud. He built what is today called the modern Edo State and that is why we have been able to win all the elections we went into since he came on board.”

And that was why we also won the governorship election and we now have Godwin Obaseki.

“And Obaseki has continued from where Oshiomhole stopped and Edo is moving. And I want to urge all our representatives at all level to ensure that they provide the basic needs of our people because this is our secret.”
