FG Declares Public Holiday For Christmas, New Year


The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th of December, 2016 and Monday January 2, 2017 as Public Holidays to celebrate Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year Celebrations.
The Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau made the declaration for the benefit of the Federal Government in an announcement marked by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the service, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on Wednesday.

The minister enjoined all Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to remain supportive to the Government of President Muhammadu Buhari in his sustained efforts towards building a peaceful, united and prosperous nation.

Dambazau also urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for unity and peaceful co-existence across the country.
